It is important that you read and understand our Terms and Conditions, they explain how your order will be dealt with, your rights and our duty to you. By ordering from us, The Laurels Lewes, you agree to be bound by these terms.
Ordering from us
We have built our website to be well designed and user friendly, but should you need any help to order from us please email us or give us a call.
Once you have ordered and paid for an item we will send a confirmation email with the date the package was dispatched and a receipt of your purchase.
If you find an item is marked ‘out of stock’ and you would like to place an order, give us a call and we will be able to let you know if it is available for reorder and if so we can email you to let you know when it has come in.
Whilst every care is taken in monitoring the quantity of each item made available for sale on the website, if we find the item is no longer available we will inform you immediately and refund you in full. We aim to only list items from stock.
All fabric will be cut to your requested length and therefore cannot be returned. We are happy to send you a sample for colour matching, please give us a call.
We take every care in ensuring there are no faults/flaws in the fabric but should you discover one please let us know immediately and return the fabric uncut to us as below, noting whether you would like a replacement (if available) or a refund.
If for any reason you would like to return an item you can do so within 14 days of receipt provided the item is in its original and unused condition, with all tags still attached and with all its original packaging.
You need to email us immediately to inform us that you will be sending a return, and include in the package your name, address, email contact and reason for return.
Please ensure you have used adequate packaging to protect the item. We cannot accept any responsibility for loss or damage in transit and advise you to obtain a proof of postage certificate (free from the Post Office). We are not responsible for an item not received.
We do not refund the original postage cost or the cost of return unless the item is faulty or there has been a mistake on our part.

Items not received
If you have not received an item (within 7 days for standard UK, 3 days for Special Delivery and 10 days for International Airsure) please email us and we will investigate immediately and if the item is lost we will offer you a replacement (if available) or a full refund.
If you have a change of mind and wish to cancel an order, please do so as soon as possible. Please call us at the shop on 01273 470248; we are open Monday-Friday 9:00am to 5:00pm and Saturday 9:30am to 5:30pm or out of these hours email us and we will confirm your order is cancelled.
If we have not sent out your item we are happy to refund you in full, if we have already sent out your package you will need to return it to us as a normal return, in this case we will not refund the original postage cost.
Occasionally an item is faulty, if you believe this is the case please inform us immediately, or if you have received an item you have not ordered, please return it (as detailed above) and we will refund you in full.
Value added tax
All our prices include vat at 20%. For certain overseas orders vat will be deducted through the payment process based on which country the item is being bought and sent to.
Overseas orders may be subject to import duties and taxes, which are levied once the package reaches your country; these need to be paid for customs clearance. We are not responsible for these charges.
We are very sorry but we are suspending our deliveries to Europe for the present. As soon as the situation becomes clearer with duties and taxation on orders placed and returns we will reinstate this option. We look forward to trading again with all the countries we feel very much part of.
Any details and personal information you provide us with will only be used to enable us to process your order; we do not give any of your details to any third party or persons outside The Laurels.
Our website allows you to place an order without registering with us; if you have chosen this option we will not contact you beyond processing that order.
If you decide to register and set up a login you are accepting that we will contact you via email in the future to let you know of any Sales we may have or if we have new products which we may think may be of interest to you; if you would rather we did not do so please email or call us and we will remove you from our contact list.
We use a secure server and no card details are held by us. The secure server software encrypts all personally identifiable information you input when you place an order before it is sent to us.
Product descriptions & details
We take every care to ensure we have described the products on our website as accurately as possible, however due to the variations in the ways in which images can be viewed on different screens we cannot guarantee the accuracy of colour reproduction. Particularly with fabrics, which as noted above cannot be returned once they have been cut, if the exact colour needed is important to you please request a sample before placing your order.
